I had shoulder cuff surgery in January, I found Mr Wijeratna and his team very efficient, I had alot of subsequent pain after the operation, Mr Wijeratna was excellent at communicaing and aleviating any concerns that I had post operation. I have just been discharged. The procedure although painful was well worth it and seven months on I have 95% mobility back in my shoulder and the pain is gradually subsiding to a point I hope I will be 100% pain free after itheals completely. My only advice would be to follow all the instructions given with use and post surgery physio, listen to your body but push throug the pain to get mobility back. Thank you all concerned at NCH, QMC and NCSEM.

Malin is a very friendly consultant who did a great job of sorting my shoulder. He was very personal and was contactable outside of my appointments when I had an issue.

Many thanks to Mr Wijeratna and the team at Woodthorpe Hospital. After dislocating my shoulder in a cycling accident, Mr Wijeratna performed a rotator cuff repair upon my shoulder. I'm now 12 weeks post op and well on my way to a full recovery. Would highly recommend Physio Rehab Rotator Cuff Rehab post surgery. https://www.physiorehab.com/rehab-programs-shoulder-rotator-cuff-rehab

Mr Wijeratna took great pains to make sure I understood everything during the initial examination and diagnosis and discussed the options fully with me. During the operation he explained what he had found and was doing and afterwards made sure I knew what to expect during recovery. His care and professionalism left nothing to be desired and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to other patients.

On the 15th April 2021, I was lucky enough to receive a Complete Shoulder Replacement surgery performed by Mr Malin Wijeratna at the Woodthorpe Hospital. During the pre-op assessment process, and subsequent meeting with Mr Wijeratna , the procedure and everything that that entailed was was explained to be thoroughly, my questions answered , so that I was in no doubt that this was the right path to take. The surgery took approx 3 hrs, but my recovery began immediately, and without the intense pain that had restricted movement to my left shoulder for so long. Mr Wijeratna and his team were amazing, efficient and totally professional, and I consider myself to be a very lucky lady. My post op appointment with mr Wijeratna went very well today and I am totally committed to improving shoulder movement with Physiotherepy. I cannot thank everyone involved enough(including the team at City Hospital) -his bless you all-amazing Regards Gill Dixon
